Excellent and very "gemütlich"! Don't forget to book a table, because it's small and on fridays and saturdays nights you won't find a table.

Excellent! Everytime my parents come to visit from the U.K, they insist on going for a curry to Deeba! So much so, the waiter even knows what we want before we order! Be warned though, it's very popular and small which means they'll try to get you out before you've swallowed your last gulp of free mango liquor!

Yes, the owner is incredibly friendly and energetic, and it's great outside on summer evenings. The menu is not great for vegetarians but it's good standard stuff. I wish they wouldn't keep giving me salad with my curry though.

I noticed that this is a Pakistani restaurant. Do they serve Baltis?

Nope, there are no Baltis at Deeba. Baltis are a fairly modern British invention, and I don't think they have become established in Germany yet. I'm sure I've seen them on the menus at some Munich restaurants though - I just can't remember which ones.

Had a great curry at Deeba on Saturday night after a long day of rugby watching. 10 of us turned up with no booking and were looked after exceptionally. I'm not sure if we scared off some other customers, but the food and portions were excellent. The chicken was fresh and tender, which is unusual for a munich curry house.

I just took my husband there for his birthday, and it was fantastic! The Alu Gosht was great and just the right amount of 'hotness'. We'll definitely be back there. Every part of the meal was perfect. Anonymous above is correct, though, that they do rush you a bit. I wouldn't have felt so rushed except that, just as we were getting down to the last bits of rice, one of the guys came by and served it up to take the dish. We were in and out of there, including dessert, in one hour.

This is one of the best restaurant in Munich. The food is good and the hosts are incredible. The best dishes are kebabs, chicken tikka masala, okra & biryani!! And you should not miss the mango lassi and gulab jamuns! Its a must-go place when you are in Munich ... and you will appreciate the recommendation. Cheers

Great food, one of the best I have eaten in Munich. But the owner is nice sometimes and others can be very rude. Pitty that I got to know his not so polite and nice side. I am never going back again. And there is no Conditioned Air, the air is so viced!

Went there last night and as usual, the food was great. The service has always been a bit fast, but last night we'd barely ordered before our main course was brought while we were still starting the poppadums. With the waiters patrolling the tables to serve out more food onto your plate and grab empty ones, you got the impression they had a big booking coming, but no - after it got to 8.30 they slowed down and the place emptied out. Totally unnecessary.

What happened? This used to be a place with a guarantee for excellent food quality. Now they've changed the cooks and even the waiters, and the food is simply awful. Seriously, no other word is appropriate - awful. Since I was very hungry and looking forward to a yummy meal, I ate it all – mistake. I still have a nasty aftertaste in my mouth I can't seem to get rid of. The only person still there is the owner, everybody else appears to have changed. After going there more or less regularly for years, they now won't be seeing me again, I'm afraid.

Just been to this restaurant, not bad really! A little too smoky for my liking... but that's common in Germany and other places like DK and NL etc... I had mutton Karahi (Halal); a little too salty, but very nice otherwise; the Tandoori rotis were really nice and fresh, salad was nice, the green tea was nice too! I was not pushed to order or finish up at all, fairly relaxed atmosphere. Whats more, the rotis were not served at once! When I finished one, then the other came, meaning they were hot and fresh and crisp through out my meal! This is very hard to find and a major positive in my opinion. The owner was very nice too; a friendly and dynamic gentleman. I know my curries/foods very well and I am a fairly competent cook.. if they just reduced the salt a bit, that would simply make it fantastic (also the oil.. but its rare to find a restaurant that does not use excessive oil anyway.. ). Hope this helps.

We went there after the Friday night drinks, and except for the usual complaint that LurkerMark's curry wasn't hot enough, everybody was well pleased with their food. And we are a tough bunch. So as far as I'm concerned standards haven't dropped.

Went recently on a Wednesday evening 7pm. Good job we had booked as they were full and turning away those who had no reservation. With around 35 seats its not huge. Service was very attentive without being annoying and the food was good. Yes a lot appears on 'classic' Indian restaurants but somehow it wasnt the same. If you want a curry thats a little different, try Deeba, only with the usual complaint that it was German hot not proper hot. Will be back again

I was there last evening. It was a warm day, so we could sit outside at the tables on the street. The inside decoration is very nice, altough it is a small place. They serve a small salad and a 1/4 Naan with every meal, that was new for me.

Enjoyed another great meal there with my son during the week. You must try the mixed grill at 19€. it contained 1 giant prawn, a lovely piece of fish , some succulent chicken..to die for, a tandoori chicken leg, lamb chop and a bit of steak. Great food, a bit pricy but it is good every time, never hit and miss like some other places. Looking forward to going again.
