Am surprised that China Restaurant Mandarin isn't listed on Toytown yet! One of the best Chinese restaurants in Munich I've eaten at, both in terms of food and service. Prices are cheaper than Jade. Service is really good, and the business is bustling, especially with its location just round the corner from the street leading to the Hofbräuhaus. Just came back from dinner there -- food plus tea, all for only Euro 14 per person.

Went there again last night, and once again had very good food. Price and location -wise it's better than Jade. Jade serves Hongkong food, whereas this restaurant serves mainly Northern China food, the staff is mainly from Beijing area. Ask for their frittered duck and dumplings, very delicious. Six of us last night and we ordered better food than the last round, including tips it came up to about Euro 22 per person (including beer, chinese tea and dessert!)

Posted by: "APJ" at 11:43 am on 2.Jul.2007Wasn't particularly impressed. Food was ok, but nothing special. Kam Yi and Jade are in a totally different category. But prices are indeed very reasonable (most main dishes around 10 Euros).
