China Restaurant Five Stars opened Autumn 2006 in the Ground Floor of the Go Yellow Tower. As you would imagine for a restuarant in such a building, it is light, airy, and modern. It is a Chinese buffet, although you can also order A La Carte.

The buffet is great. One of the best I have ever seen. It includes soup, a selection of Sushi, a variety of Chinese and Thai prepared dishes, and a Mongolian Barbarque section where you choose your fish, meat, vegatables and sauce and take them to the Chef who then stir fries them for you and has them brought to your table.
The food is very fresh, varied, and of a high quality. The mogolian barbarque included King Prawns, Calamari, Salmon, Kangeroo, Beef, Duck, Schitake and then the more regular fare of meat and vegatables. The Achtkostbarkeiten Tee is also delicious.

The service is extremly polite and friendly without being obtrusive.

The price is unbelievably low. The evening buffet cost EUR 12.90, and I believe the weekday lunch buffet is only EUR 4.90. With our bill for EUR 34 for two people we were given a glass of plum wine each, a Lychee Juice to take home and a calender each for the new year. Well worth a visit

Hmm...don't have to offer such a ranting review of the place. Tried out their lunch buffet and wasn't too impressed. They ran out of white rice and didn't replace it...kind of puzzled by that. Anywho, if you want to get filled up for some OK food, go to this place. Not very authentic however, despite the fact that the Shanghaise couple are 100% Zhongguo ren.
