Café Voilá - Wörthstr. 5, 81667 Munich, Germany

Nice allrounder in Haidhausen. Good for breakfast or dinner, or just to drink a couple of beer.

Food is not really special, but portions are generous.

It´s really loved by inhabitants of the quarter (than 20% Foreigners, 20% Pseudo-Schicki, 20% Alternatives, 40% nice normal people) so it can be really full (either on the afternoon and on evening), and when it´s full, the service can easily become overworked.

This leads sometimes to long waiting times (but you can always spend it with a beer or some finger food)

Has been there for decades, my grandma knows it from a time when I was not even born. Especially nice for breakfast on a weekday morning, when it's not overcrowded (opens around 8am or so). The food is very good; my favourites include fried eggs with bacon and cereal with yoghurt and fresh fruits for breakfast, and their classic "Chicken Bombay" with rice, curry sauce and a fried honey-banana for lunch or dinner.
