Café Stemmerhof - Plinganserstr. 6, 81369 Munich, Germany

A great new (Aug 2003) café/restaurant with a sleek interior, efficient and friendly service, and yummy food. Many of the wines are affordable and good, as well. The food is international with more of an Italian leaning. There are restored tables (in contrast to the modern deco), and two kinds of outdoor seating. Housed in the Stemmerhof complex, a reconverted family farm. There is also free parking. Not smoky and overcrowded, even though it seems to be popular with Sendling locals.

Good atmosphere, reasonable prices, and very nice to sit on the quiet backyard terrace when the sun sets.

This place is great. Its within a co-op and uses lots of fresh ingredients. Great homemade pasta. Very spacious and beautiful gardens in summer. Casual but especially charming in the evening.

we had last night the best dinner ever in germany. a young, very friendly man explained us the whole menu, because they do not have an english one, which ist the only bad thing we can say. the rest is amost perfect. The Miller Group, Cork, Ireland

had the panackes with real maple syrup. edible, but pricey at €4.90, but they were the real deal, not what germans think pancakes should be like. limited outside seating, but in the sun when not under a huge umbrella. they have a sunday buffet for €20 -- 3 main courses, water, wine, and all hot drinks included. church just across the street if you want to satiate your hunger after spilling your soul to the diety above.

We almost didn't get a table but now I know why it was so full...great food and atmosphere....great terrace with lots of flowerpots, the sunset behind the little park next to the terrace, quiet....Will go there again!
