Cafe Selig - Hans-Sachs-Str. 3, 80469 Munich, Germany

Cafe Selig on Hans-Sachstrasse opened around March 2005 - since a small fire at christmas closed it for a while. It caters to those who are not too schicky mickey to go to Moritz and those who used to go to Iwans (now sadly gone). At the moment it is a good mix of people but who knows how a bars character develops with time? Cool chill out DJ ALex does the Friday evening bash. Mostly mixed during the day with place to sit outside and be distinctly un-english and watch the passers by. Evenings mostly gay. Have'nt tried the food yet but by all accounts it is quite good. Oh and the staff are surprisngly friendly for a Munich bar. In fact on a par with cafe Gluck.

Great place to have a coffee or to hang out on weekends for some drinks, special austrian stuff to eat and drink. On the weekends always crowded. Mixed crowd of all ages.
Posted by: "Martin" at 4:13 pm on 6.Apr.2006I find it a bit too schicki in the early evenings but certainly more relaxed later the later it gets and I go in there for a beer fairly often.
Posted by: "Miss Norton" at 4:42 pm on 6.Apr.2006i really liked the place--very busy in the evenings. However, after we were asked to leave after having dinner--because they needed the tables for more customers -- so rude! i never have been back.
