Café Klenze - Barerstr. 27, 80333 Munich, Germany

The 'Victorian House' empire has opened a new Café Klenze in the Alte Pinakothek, Barerstr. 27, open Tuesday to Sunday 10.30-19.00 (20.30 on Tuesdays). As well as a wide range of tea varieties they offer about ten different sorts of cake - all look so yummy the choice is made hard.

Also things like Steak and kidney pie, vinegar crisps and Cadbury chocolate. Self-service, and, as far as I could see, non-smoking.
The café is situated in what looks like a former corridor of the museum. You can use either the main entrance or the one at the Barerstrasse front. Unlike in the *Glyptothek*, you don't have to pay the museum entrance fee.

Nice old-fashioned feel to the place; high windows for watching the sunset, Victorian-style sofas. Very different from, say, the minimalist museum café at the Pinakothek der Moderne.
