Darling, charming little place that time forgot. You walk into 1940's glamor with green velvet chairs to sit in and gold/green wallpaper. This is a place to stop at when you have time to sit and watch the world go by. Sure it smells a little musty and the waitstaff is way past retirement but how often can you have coffee in a time machine? Nothing has changed here in 70 years and it's all well preserved. Support them so they don't become a Starbucks or something awful.

Posted by: "robert johnson" at 3:53 pm on 9.Dec.2005The cafe is now run by the same guy who runs Cafe Mozart (near Sendlinger Tor)so no more old ladies but a young in-crowd hanging out there. They didn't change the interior design though. Also the coffee's now drinkable, and the place is open in the evenings as well.
