Forum is a large café bar that is kind of half gay, half undecided / well-dressed / straight. Inside it is split into three sections, each affording varying levels of privacy and comfort.

Outside there is a massive, lively Terrasse. It's a confusing place, especially during parties when it gets absolutely jam packed literally to the rafters, and this is reflected in the signage for the toilets - twice now I have walked into the ladies toilet by accident (yeah, right).

During Fasching you can't help but find a good time here, if you can squeeze inside. They decorate the place with balloons and streamers and everybody gets to know somebody.

They did in fact introduce a non-smoking zone even before the ban, but the Café Forum is currently a smokers club every single evening after 22:00. (2008.03.21)

Having been wrapped in scaffolding and tarpaulins for months on end, the newly renovated Café forum was recently unveiled. It's now even trendier than before. And this coming Wednesday (12th May 2004) there'll be a special display by the painter Ulrike Schulz (born 1974). Many minor celebs from the Munich scene have been inivited. Not sure if you'll get in without an invite, but might be worth a try.

Very trendy restaurant. Nice atmosphere- fresh tulips on each table, a non-smoking room, lots of candlelight. Good service and great starters-ceasar salad and coconut thai soup were both very good. Finger-food tower for two was not good. It was a strange mix of appetizers that didn't go together and for the most part were tasteless. Overall, the ambience was good, service was good and food was hit or miss.

They are a smoking club after 22:00 -- no fees.
