Bondi Australian Bar - Munich

Also has some great looking bar staff and last Friday a top notch live act - worth a try, but beware the drunken Aussies if you start a rugby conversation.

Got a group of hard-core regulars that are often there and good for a chat. Biggest problem is that it doesn't have a helles and you have to drink Fosters or Kronenbourg. However, I think that it's the best place to watch sporting events. They have a big screen up high, meaning you don't get people in your way. I also rate the food - tasty breakfast and very good burgers. Also, unlike other Australian bars around town, they play a lot of Aussie music.

Great Bar and some great looking waitresses, grubs good too! Had a blast there watching rugby world cup final! Worth a visit! Joe.

overpriced, no atmosphere, never very busy, bad music (mostly), no decent German beers, need I say more?

My son Jaxon works there and he is the best and spunkiest barman this side of the black stump.

Best pub in town by a country mile. Good Aussie beer, great food, friendly staff and a great group of regulars. Greg is great, even if he does support Chelski!! Watch out for DJ Ray Von, if you like manchester music, he is the man!!

Had a falling out with the Manager last time I was in - I won't be going back. The place is a dump.

Maybe if they shut bondi down and turned it into a starbucks/SFCC/coffee fellows it could be a place with a little more atmostphere. Went in there last night - if it wasnt for the live music(which was quite good) the place would have been better served as a morgue. With no airconditioning, and warm apfelschorlee the place was like a sauna last night - I hate to think what it would have been like if it had been full - but I guess thats not too much of a problem. Top marks to them for showing the rugby, I guess thats how they keep their business. With expat bars struggling in munich, you'd think bondi would make more of an effort.

good, bar, stumbled into it my last night in Munich, I guess it was 80's night or something, good times, still the only bar where a chick got me drinks and gave me my own personal tour of munich, holds a special place in my heart haha...

That must have been the crappest toasted sandwich I have ever ate!!!! Or maybe that's just the Tazmanian version of a toastie?!?!

Was in the Bondi the other night when a kangaroo walked in and ordered a beer !!!. The bartender charged the kangaroo 10 euros and said "You know, we don't get many kangaroos coming in here." The kangaroo then turned to him and said, "At 10 euros a beer, it's not hard to understand." !!! :-))

I used to like the bar but thought it went downhill after Greg left. It was a good place to watch sport, have a few beers in a relaxed environment and the pizza was good too. Will miss the Karaoke nights. The Australian Ball last year was probably the best night there. The German guy who took over management this year didn't have a clue. Bondi Bar R.I.P.

Downhill? Didn't think the place could stoop any lower to be honest. Had a few good nights there, and the food wasn't bad, but overall Bondi's demise is no great loss.

Yeah the bondi sucked usually, but it's still sad that one of the few english places in this town went down.Seems like there's always tons of germans in killians..

Was there soon after it opened in early 2002, pity it's gone, maybe would have done better in a more 'pub' location, ie toward Rathaus, Im Thal. Back to 'Outland', I guess, and the other one, downstairs, opposite the Irish pub
