Bodega Tapas - Munich

The premises are now occupied by Tapasitos which is essentially the same place, just a different name.

Previous review of Bodega Tapas:

Great. Another place to trash.

The scene: early June. Beautiful weather. Brunch with a couple of friends after rollerblading. The waitress: cold. Asks me what I want. I select some type of brunch, I cannot remember what. 45 minutes later she comes back: "Sorry, we do not have that available today". Me: "Ok, can I get a spaghetti carbonara then?". I was still nice about it, I have to mention, despite the fact that in other places it does not take 45 minutes to find out that something is not available. Still, I behaved. My friends are finishing their coffee and I am still waiting. Another 45 minutes pass by. My friends want to leave. OK, fine. I am hungry but let?s go. We start walking away from this place when finally the waitress arrives with the plate. Looking at it, I did not miss much. "Too late honey. 1 hour 30 minutes waiting and the place is not even crowded?"

You think I am an asshole? I am. But still, do yourself a favour: eat elsewhere.

There are literally hundreds of places in Munich to go for a brunch. Just skip this one. After this experience I decided never to go again to this place (although it is 200m from where I live and has a nice Terrasse). Think I am wrong? Maybe it is a good place and I just happened to be there on a wrong day? Not so; stories like this one can be heard from many people we know. Life is too short.
