Summer 2004 has been one of the worst on record for Munich. But that needn't stop anyone from enjoying Munich's Beer Gardens. What to do if you're caught out in a garden when the storms roll in? Just build a Beer Garden Shelter! Here's a pic from one we made yesterday in the Augustiner Garden on Arnulfstrasse. Next time someone suggests building such a hut, don't laugh. It works! ...

the key is the benches on top of the tables over the cracks, otherwise it drips, and trickles down between the tables :o)
