Bavaria Bräu, the new Pschorr Keller, is the puppies privates. Super place! They re-opened on the 16th of this month. Interior is large, on a couple of levels and very nicely decorated. They've got hops hanging from the ceiling, a real olive tree by the bar area and a sort of house construction with walkways along one wall. In the middle of the main room is an old copper brewing vat. Will take some photos this weekend.

A 0.5L Helles is knocking in at €2.70.

Toilets are downstairs and are absolutely enormous. The room that is, not the toilets themselves. I counted 28 urinals!

After Oktoberfest closes they'll be opening a couple of new restaurants too. Italian and Asian I think.

At the moment they have an After-Wiesn party which gets kicking at about 10pm.

I shall be becoming a regular customer of the place without a shadow of a doubt.

Was there the other day when we couldn't get into the tents at the fest. Awesome place!! A new alternative to the HB Haus.

I went there. Their beer garden is on the other side of the path and seems to be closed most of the time. It is small in any case and not worth visiting. Their main place being the Bavaria Bräu which is impressively fitted out and large. The toilets seem to be big enough to service a place at least ten times the size. They brew Helles and Weisbier beer on the premises but the Helles (which is unfiltered) tasted no different to water to me so I switched to the Weisbier. The beers are quite cheap. They have a good menu but the prices are higher than average. I ordered the 6 Stücke Nürnbergwurstl for six Euros and got back some very skinny chipolatas. The other dishes looked OK, though.

made it out that way yesterday eve and i was thoroughly impressed. €2,80 for a weißbeer is fantastic!
i had the kässspätzle (people compare chicken jalfrezzi, i compare cheese noodles!) and so far the best i've had in munich. fresh noodles, cheesy and creamy, served in a cool little pan. price okay (€7,50), portion maybe a tad small for the big boys, but as a wee girl, i even had them pack up half to take home!
even got to check out my ass in the multitudes of mirrors in the ladies WC (can't even do that at H&M)! still i wonder how peeps in wheelchairs or who can barely walk get down to the toilets. still don't get that in DE.
anyhow, place was not hopping. very empty, sad really. but it looks like a place i will defo go to!
if you take the bus 134 to Theresienhöhe, get out at Alte Messplatz!

Are there really vomit sinks in the guys loo? There wasn't anything as practical as that in the ladies den.
Still gotta love their Munich Wheat. Am still a fan of this place for an after-dinner beer.

They have the same sinks in the bogs at Andechs. Complete with handle bars attached to the wall above for extra vomiting stability.

Re: Rolands comment on the nearby Zirkus Wiese beergarten being "not worth visiting" He should go there when its open. There is nothing wrong with it.
His comment on the Helles is quite true. Many like it, but it is er.. different! (The Weissbier is quite normal)

Was here on the 2nd of Dec. Had to wait over an hour for the food, which when came was not what was ordered, so had to wait another 30min. The wait staff were running around, taking breaks instead of serving, and some were actually verbaly abusing the customers. I saw waitstaff
ask people to make room on thier tables, then plop down a huge tray of food and serve a NEIGHBORING TABLE. When somebody asked a question the waitress said something along the lines of, Can't you see I'm busy, I'll be with you in a min, then started yelling at the guy...

I don't know WTF was going on that night as the other times I've been there it's been somewhat decent. This nights event has turned me off from going back to this place until they can get their Employees sorted out in the Cust. Relations area.
