Barista - Kardinal-Faulhaber Strasse 11, 80333 Munich, Germany
This bar/restaurant is located at the far end of the recently-opened shopping arcade Fünf Höfe. If you hang around here you either managed to sell your shares before the latest stock market slip, or you inherited a fortune from your rich Uncle Ted in America. Either way, this is an expensive corner full of bankers, rich wives, more bankers, stock brokers, insurance executives, and ha, ya, I forgot: bankers.
Schumann's Tagesbar is a few meters away but since it closes at 9pm, Barista has an evening niche. It is a classy wooden bar with dim lighting and leather sofas in the sitting area. We sat there one night and enjoyed a very tasty though somewhat expensive dinner. It is owned by the same guy who started Pacific Times.
A quiet, good-to-know-when-loaded restaurant. A down note? Service is good but food takes quite some time to arrive. If you are a banker, you are sure to bump into your colleagues.

Barista don't serve Mojitos in the Winter because they insist on using only the freshest Bavarian mint. And in the Winter, of course, there is no mint grown in Bavaria. Apparently the Bavarians haven't heard of green-houses.
