Bahr's & More - Munich

We went there about 4 years ago with the Munich Hash House Harriers, and they got all snotty with us, we had a reserved table for 15 got 10 places, and waited sometimes over 1 hour for a drink, and they brought the food out all seperately, okay, I can see that, but they started serving and some took over 1 hour to get their food, and they never replenished the drinks inbetween. I will never go back there. Took over one hour to try to pay, and I gave no tip, then she (the waitress) got all snotty again, and the rest got up to leave, as they got tired of asking and not getting the bill, then they threaten to call the cops on us.

Seems a bit unfair to post a comment that is 4 years old. I go there quite often as I work near there. Never had a problem with Service and the staff have been friendly. We have also gone in a big group without the problems you had. Food is generally good for the style and best of all its completely smoke free!!!

really? The place left such a bad taste in my mouth, I will not go back, and spend my hard earned money there. There are alot of places in Munich to go to, and get service, where the staff doesn't yell at you for wanting to pay.

Does this cafe-bar have the same staff and management as 4 years ago? Even if it does, maybe they've seen the error of their ways. The second post seems to say that things have changed, so why badmouth a place for something that happened so long ago without knowing whether it still holds true.

I have been to Bahrs and more a few times I will be returning in the near future. It is totally non-smoking (the only reason I went there in the first place), the staff are extremely friendly and it has a nice laid-back yet sophisticated atmosphere. To the posters above: have you perhaps thought about the fact that Bahrs and More consists of just one room - a room in which couples and small groups of people like to spend their evenings in a subdued and relaxed atmosphere? Judging from the Hash House Harriers website you don't appear to be the most quiet/sophisticated group of people. If you don't appreciate Bahrs and More, stick to the Hofbräuhaus or some other mainstream place. Believe me, you'll be a lot happier there and the Bahrs and More customers will probably thank you for it!

I think the original poster had a bad experience and frankly if I had that experience I would never return. I guess things have moved on for the better. It could well be different ownership and staff in 4 years. I don't think it is necessary to bad mouth someone for having a bad time. I would just say that the experience I have had is differnet and recent.
