When first arriving at Badeanstalt one might think that they have taken a wrong turn somewhere and arrived at a gym for a workout instead. It is in fact located behind the Elixia Gym in Schwabing off Leopoldstr.
More precisely it is located underneath the gym in what used to be the gym's swimming pool area which has now been converted into a night club of delectable delight. The club itself is rather humble in size (350 capacity) but makes up for it with a big heart and sweat dripping, bass pumping, bold parties that carry on until dawn. With a chest pounding sound system that reverberates inside the pool area and beyond, no expense has been wasted on the power and clarity. Think of it as the small club that could and does by all means and more. If you are not a serious club kid, love dancing and into the Trance scene then read no further.

With huge name Dj's such as Carl Cox, Ferry Corsten and Paul van Dyk of the WorldLeage spinning there regularly to crowds of serious party animals and dance addicts, this is a party club not to be missed as it goes off skywards like a methane fuelled rocket to the heavens and heaves into the morning twilight.
The dance floor in located inside a converted swimming pool with plenty of twisted eye candy hanging from the ceiling and elsewhere to entertain your visual desires, bend your mind and stroke your senses. Surrounded on three sides by standing areas where people can look down into the pool to tickle their minds fancy with tantalizing views of people having the time of their lives. Their are five bars, one inside the swimming pool and four on your way to the chill area outside where they also serve food. There is also a small chill area inside on the way to the cloak area, which is well run with no waiting and good care taken with all your bits and pieces.

The Doormen are serious but friendly, helpful and strict which is always an added bonus to keep the tiny boppers at home with their mommies where they belong. An assortment of people like a good box of chocolates don whatever they feel comfortable in to party the night away. From high heels to trainers, princes and princesses, pimps to paupers, anything goes where the main concern is having a fantastic time.

Badeanstalt
Leopoldstr. 250, Schwabing

A seventies style nightclub in the premises that were previously a swimming pool.
Went here for a VIP party and the place is really cool, old swimming pool is full of sand and used to play beach volley ball. Really alternative venue and various events and music here, give it a go. Really enjoyed it the night I was there.

Posted by: "simone" at 6:55 pm on 10.Mar.2005It is not located in Schwabing. This is Milbertshofen, more than a walking distance from any civil place in Munich. 25 min. from Münchener Freiheit, for example.
Posted by: "The Inspector" at 1:53 am on 11.Mar.2005What do you walk from Münchener Frieheit for? Take the U2 to Milbertshofen - it can't be more than 5 minutes walk from there.
Posted by: "Schwabinger" at 5:15 pm on 11.Mar.2005yes, but who would like to walk through Milbertshofen :-)?
