Baccus Cafe is an excellent traditional Italian restaurant just opened near Rotkreuzplatz. On my first visit, I had an excellent Kurbis Caramelle (slightly sweet pumpkin filling) ravioli and a perfect stone oven pizza. Good wine selection and very friendly staff.
The interior is very, very well done and much larger than it appears from the outside.
In my opinion, this is better than Roman's (farther down Nymphenburgerstr) and one of the best restaurants in the area, save Acetaia.
Prices were very reasonable, with the pastas topping out at under 15 and pizzas starting at just 5 .

Posted by: "Mia" at 11:28 pm on 27.Sep.2006This place is my new favorite Italian Restaurant. Great service, the food was EXCELLENT, and the place is cozy. Its the same Owner and Cook of Vecchio Mulino which was on the west side of town. I highly recommend this place.
Posted by: "Brennz" at 3:13 pm on 11.Dec.2006Was there for dinner last night, and it was delicious! The service was excellent (our waiter was an older Italian fellow who could not have been more courteous or attentive), they brought us amazing and FREE bruschetta while we waited on our meal, the wine was good, and best of all the bill was only €24 for my boyfriend and I! I highly recommend this place....we ate outside as the weather was nice, but the interior looked great too.
