Located at the far top of the English Garden this is one of Munich's classic beer gardens. It makes a nice trip to cycle - or walk - from the city center or Schwabing up north though the English Gardens, stop for a Schweinshaxen and a beer or two, then walk home again - or take the U-Bahn.

There is a indoor restaurant too which is equally pleasant. This open all year round except Mondays during the winter (October to April).

it´s a nice biergarten, but - due to its position in the middle of many bicycle tours - it´s often really full: this means, you have to wait and stand until you can take your beer and food.
