Centrally located, good food and beer, reasonably priced. We were there recently on a weeknight, and the noise level was fine for conversing.

Typical tourist trap. Cliché atmosphere, overpriced, rude and non-responsive service personnel. The food was ok, but you can eat waaay better in Bavaria for much lower prices and with much friedlier service. Scheinbar ist das DIE Touristenfalle in München. Das Essen war durchaus ok, wenn auch etwas teuer. Aber die Bedienung war so was von unfreundlich. Servicewüste pur. Das ist man sich in Bayern besser gewohnt.

Augustiner Brewery is the ONLY place to get the stuff vom Fass and enjoy the place unless its sunny then your better off at the Augustiner Keller beer garden.
