Annie Restaurant Thai & Sushi - wow, what a little gem this place is! Tucked away amidst office blocks only a five minute direct walk (up Landsberger Str.) from Laim S-Bahnhof.

Cuisine: Thai and Sushi (hmmmm... restaurant name a giveaway then...)
Food quality: Excellent!!! This applies to both the Sushi and the Thai dishes.
For verification, I invited (European) 'experts' well-versed in both types.
Both were very impressed with the authenticity, taste, quality and presentation.
Prices are reasonable - not expensive yet also not Mickey D's/KFC cheap either.
The atmosphere is quiet with understated Thai ornamentation. There is a patio/garden at the back with additional tables too. The only strange thing is the distinctive Thai 'elevator' music which accompanies the dining experience - not really my cup of tea.

The service is another feature that sets the place apart. In a word - Superb!!
Glass of fresh fruit juice while waiting for my mouth-watering takeaway Sushi (which I have sampled many times).
One of my 'expert' friends ordered Tom Yam Gai soup(not on the menu) as starter. Not on the menu...? No problem! Upon finishing (ahem, slurping), was so impressed that immediately ordered the same dish again. While eating the first serving she removed the lemon grass, seasoning leaves etc (as apparently you are supposed to do) and left them on the accompanying side-plate. The second serving arrived and this time containing none of the offending seasoning although the taste was exactly the same if not better. That sort of attention to detail is sadly missed in Munich.

Despite having a full serving staff, the owner of the restaurant (Annie), was out on the floor as a waitress serving with humility and an unassuming yet informative style. Upon sitting down, she politely enquired if that was our car parked directly outside and suggested we move it to the car park at the back as the police are active in the area.
On this occasion I ordered chicken Thai green curry which was DELICIOUS. I hail from London and have eaten this dish in many Thai eateries back home. On many occasions the heat/spiciness killed the flavour and subsequent enjoyment. Here at Annie's I ate till I almost burst...!

Annie - you have a wonderful cosy restaurant. I hope to visit you for many years to come...
