Don't be fooled by the Japanese name Akaiko, as it was a former running-sushi shop. Akaiko today sells Cantonese cuisine and "all you can eat" asian fondue. Nice decor and friendly service.

You can choose chicken-stock, Szechuan (really spicy) or Beef (spicy) soup base and pick the meats, vegetables, seafood to dip in, cook and eat as much as you want. It's one of these really fun "work for your meal" experiences. Soup base flavor improves over time... great fun and you'll almost kill yourself eating.

Price includes buffet (noodles, fried chicken, crab claw etc..), rice, the fondue and ingredients (meats, vege, etc.) and dessert. Great for groups!

Actually, the name is not Akaiko, but Aikaikou, which is Chinese for "love to open your mouth". Don't particularly like their hotpot, but I guess it's not their fault, as most Chinese customers seem to love it.

I went there couple of days ago and it is something special. Service was very friendly, buffet is nothing special, but they have those cooking pots which are funny and taste different then anything I ever had. And beside that, they have original "mochi" rice balls which I have never seen in any other Munich restaurant. Not bad, I recommend it.BTW - the name IS Akaiko.
