The Haus der Kunst is a building at the southern end of the English Garden. It was built in 1937 by Paul Ludwig Troost.

The original name of this building during the Nazi era was "Haus der Deutschen Kunst".

The building houses all sorts of art exhibitions. Currently the exterior of building is covered with giant inflatable geraniums. This is a work by Paul McCarthy and is connected with the BUGA garden show which is taking place in Munich during the summer of 2005.

The Eisbach river flows right past the Haus der Kunst. And where it does there is a wave which is popular with surfers.
