Meetups for families with children in Stuttgart
Finding friends for our kids, who's interested?
Hi! We are civilians here temporarily from the US (for the summer) while my husband works, and we would like to find friends for our children. My husband is DoD but a civil servant, so we aren't part of the military crowd. Anyone interested in meetups with children? Ours range in age from 7 to 13.
We are here with a 2 and 4 year old, a little to young for your kids.
It is not like in the states. People here on the playground seem much less openly friendly. Or maybe it is the language barrier? Or maybe I can't get beyond the naked kids playing in the mud?
At least you have a DoD ID. We can't even get on base for the support groups there. I think you should be eligible, and I think I read Patch has a few programs that might interest you.
BTW, the Wilhelma is great and the MB museum is too. Kids should love them.

Yes, there's sports programs and other weekly programs for kids through SKIES so your kids can have contact with the miltary kids.
