Hi Folks,

If you love English-language books, this Saturday is another don't miss event! It's the annual English book sale at the community Center of the Lutheran ("Jesuskirche") Church in Haar. The address is: Waldluststraße 34, which is about 10 minutes’ walk from S-Bahnhof Haar (S 4). The entrance is to the right of the bell tower (Campanile) -- or just follow the crowds cool.gif So, mark your calendars for Saturday, 21st June 2008, from 11 to 17 hrs

There will be several thousand new or second-hand English books and media, including children’s books, novels, magazines, cassette tapes, videos, etc. priced from 50 cents to €5.

The main organizer is the Lutheran Youth in Haar. In addition to a wide range of English books you will be offered freshly brewed coffee, African mandazi, muffins and waffles. There will also be child-minding facilities for customers with children.

All proceeds will go to the “Ilembula� Project of the Lutheran Church Jesuskirche Haar to help its Tanzanian partner community to maintain facilities for children orphaned through Aids, improve its school and training centres, make better use of solar energy, etc.

If you have any books, DVDs, videos etc. you'd like to donate, we would be happy to have them. Just call one of the organizers below to make arrangements.
