Hi,
Arrived in Munich in May and have not even gone out at all.
Help is needed. I need to know good Reggea, Dancehall and R& B hang outs for every week day. Where do the carribeans hang out. I'M from UK, and i find it abnormal that it is hard for me to find my breadrins' man??
Any suggestions, bitte!

Hey Brandy
Good question, as yet I havent found a particular spot that constantly delivers, but my other half and I did go to a really good gig by none other than king banana ... at the garden club. They were very good, and featured a jamaican reggae singer, i forgot his name. They r back in munich on the 5th Dec, at the new back stage club. plus u can check them out at kingbanana.de, another link is

Ooh sounds interseting...I have looked at this site and it is very good. I am very surprised that you have not followed up on these. Though when my finacee comes over we will go and see soe of these hot spots and update you. This is really great. Makes you feel that you are not totally lost in Munich.
Though every body, is it me or are the Black people here much more different? Because when they walk past me they nod for acknowledgement but seem to be too scared or have no time to say hello. Am i imagining it?

Brandy: It is hard on a brother when you get the cold sholder, which is common with our sisters. I tried to say hello to a couple of ladies in Sendlinger - Tor sometime ago, they just ignored me. Also, you never know if they do not speak English. I try to say hello every chance I get, but the response is not encouraging, besides there is a 9 AM deadline to get to where ever you need to go in the morning rush hour.

Maybe because you approach women as if you wan fi churps dem. Just be real otherwise you#ll scar them off. Yes we are sometimes hard to approach but try not to be rude and too persistant. Just be friendly and come across as to be happy to see a beatiful black in the area. Because yes, we are ALL beautiful!
CAN I GET AN AMEN ; LADIES???
AAMEN! Listen to the sister now Africanman

My Nubian Princess !!! We love, adore and always admire your beauty, but give us a break, just to say hello, and you first look us from head to toe and (kind a) prejudge us even before talking to us. Yes, I say hello to the brothers any chance I get in Munich, even though some are German speaking, but the ladies, please !!! take it EZ on us brothers. we just wanted to say hello and not 'fi churps' y'all as Brandy stated.

seriously i only know the rude and too persistant version of things. Have been called names (mostly referring to the fact that i was with "white" people) for doing the cold shoulder thing. I mean come on how offensive is that! I'm not aiming this at you just those who think this is the way to gain respect

I know that there's a reggae night every Saturday at Pulverturm (
www.pulverturm.de) but haven't been there myself (I go on Fridays though).
Have fun!
