Cribbage players in Dresden

Anyone else here and want to meet?

lady_bird
hi,

been living in england for a number of years and was taught the game of cribbage. i can't seem to find another german who knows the game or would like to play it..
any english/irish people out there who are up for a game and might like to meet up once in a while?
the vicar
I used to play it. I believe there's a card version of the game and a domino version. Is that right?
lady_bird
i must admit i've never heard of a domino version..i mean the card game, the one they used to play in cribbage tournaments in pubs once upon a time (so i've been told). unfortunately that was before my time. ;-)

A young spring chicken like your good-self should have no problem finding a partner.
lady_bird
haha hardly a spring chicken..:-) anyway crib might be a bit out of fashion so probably won't be all that easy to find a partner..but you never know.

I love playing cribbage (childhood memories) but the commute to meet up with you is a bit, shall we say, excessive? C'mon down to Munich and we can 15-2, 15-4, 15-6, trip for 9, nobs for 10 all night long.

woof.
lady_bird
oh what a shame..i agree munich is just around one corner too many. well not to worry. if you're ever in dresden or i'm ever down in munich i'll take up your offer.

I live in dresden it has been a while since i played bt if you are willing to give a refresher course then i would play. Let me know
lady_bird
hi straker had already given up on crib ;-) ..almost. yeah would be great to meet up..maybe in some pub? haven't got a clue where you could play cards though without getting a lot of strange looks..but hey who cares anyway, maybe you can think of some place?
bit snowed under at work for the next 10 days or so i reckon but i'll definitely get in touch with you after..c u then!
straker
the domino version i can also play maybe back home we just called it dominos but i can remember you score point by getting multiples of 5 and also by finishing the game. while i have been in dresden i have not found anyone that plays this game but just going out first seems to be the game most of my south or central american friends play.
