Anyone interested in watching some NFL on the big screen? Champions bar at the Munich Marriott Hotel has the game and some good beer and grub. The biggest reason I am going there instead of other possible locations is they have wireless internet access. I have to keep tabs on my fantasy football players in the other games

Must be an American with money

Doesn't
The Arc (or most of the
Irish bars in town) show these games?

We should get together for playoffs. I never thought I would see it my life time but the JETS might actually do soemthing this year. Of course it would have to be first year I'm here

Oh crap. Who am I supposed to cheer for in that game!?
/Vandy & Texas fan

I would also suggest The Arc over Champions. There was some talk about getting a WLAN at The Arc but I dunno if that fell through. IF they were to have it I'd no longer have an excuse to be at home. EVER.

don't you think that could ruin the atmosphere if everyone is tapping away on computers?

the NFL doesn't usually clash with other events, sporting or otherwise. I can't imagine anyone turning up to a big football or rugby match with their lap-top but i might be wrong...obviously its something we have to bear in mind as we definitely don't want to become some internet cafe you're right...

true I don't think it would affect big sports events...was just thinking of the more 'off peak' times.

we'll have to keep an eye on it, the good thing about the pub is that its made up of various sections, if someone wants to chill on the sofa with their laptop then a party could be going on in the other corner and it wouldn't necessarily be a problem for either one, usually NFL is Sunday night when people are all partied out anyway...and the games go on for hours...
