I can rent us a room at EineWeltHaus. Room 108 has direct access to the terrasse for use if it is not raining. Pictured here and here. The larger rooms 211/212 also have access to outside, is larger, costs a little more, but is further away from the beer.
The food is OK (they don't sell hamburgers anymore) and the beer is €2.60.

We need one more manager for a free ESPN league with a bunch of yahoos that I used to work with in the warehouse at the Chicago Bears. If anyone's interested, send me your e-mail.

The rooms we would like to have are booked already. Room 109 is available, but that is one of the smallest rooms and no outdoor access. It is 30m2, but will hold up to 20 people. Zar is sounding better and better to me now. Do they at least have internet access on a hard line that I could make wireless?

Right. In that case, here are the draft details:
WHEN: This SUNDAY - August 31. Reservation is at 1pm. WHERE: Zar Bar. Rosenheimerstr. 240 HOW: By U-Bahn, take the U2 to Karl-Preis-Platz. Walk south 3-4 blocks down Rosenheimerstrasse. By bus, take either the 5 (toward Waldperlach) or the 155 (toward Emdenstrasse) to the Ramersdorf stop. By car, here is a map. Zar is located in the middle of street (between the north-bound and south-bound traffic) immediately across from the Ramersdorf church and Alte Wirt maypole. If you can't see those landmarks, you just aren't looking.
Please show up at 1pm with the intention of starting the draft at 1:30pm. As we did last year, if you show up late it will cost you €5. I have reserved the lounge area on your left as you enter the main door. That's a mix of sofas and high stools. Zar has a nice menu including a variety of different breakfasts if you are in the mood.
We will not have internet. Bring all of the cheat sheets and player rankings you need. You can find pretty much all you need on the ESPN site here. I will also bring a Fantasy Football magazine if anyone wants to pass it around (keeping in mind the information is dated). We will operate with "friendly" draft rules. If you know that someone is drafting an injured or suspended player, say so. Let the owner make an informed decision.
Also, be sure to note the scoring rules posted yesterday on this thread.
I will also send this information via email through the ESPN site. That message will include my mobile number if you need to contact me on draft day.

Just to note, take the 55 and not the 5 to Waldperlach(There is no 5 bus!).
Also to benefit people who want last minute player news, we should post it here pre-draft.

I will still bring my computer loaded with info because I have no time to do anything else. This is the first year that I will not be able to spend weeks and weeks (ok days and well just days) preparing. I have a presentation in Berlin on the second and that is my main focus! Win fantasy football or win 200k and spin off a biotech company, you do the math! Hell, anybody want to see a presentation before or after? I fucking need the practice with an adversarial audience and you lot are perfect!

We'll need a venue for the draft first. The Arc is not suitable anymore because they no longer have an internet connection there.
WTF?
QUOTE (3 Lions @ Jun 17 2008, 4:08 pm)
And the fact that you're barred...I think? Although, I guess if we did use the Arc, you can just shout your picks from the top of the stairs?
WTF!!!
I leave for a few days and you fellas get Hazzaman barred? Seriousy is this true? Ah man ...

Just to add a correction, The Arc does have WiFi, I have been told from a reliable source. It would be my preferred venue, but there are a couple of people on the list who are not able to attend and wont attend due to extenuating circumstances.
However, The Arc will still be showing the regular NFL season as normal*, so I expect to be munching an Arc Burger at several points this year.
*Remember that they'll be showing more games than any other bar.

Thats why I said there were people who wouldnt be able to attend.
But Zar Bar is a good choice, loads of space and decent beer/service.

Some facts some rare some true.
Pint says that Grossman will be starter by fifth game of regular season. Cowboys win their division (no pint on that). England will apologise for 500 years of tyranny on the US and start to call football soccer. Matt Millen will finally be fired. JKent will be named 2nd starter. NFL will punish Arizona for its Cowboy game rule(utter BS in my opin). Bears defense will slip a bit. Viking defense will be on the rise. Randy Moss will be arrested. Although not a part of the league I will place "guest comments" on this site untill EB deletes them. Add yours too the list if you desire.

Hi -
Please check your email that you used for ESPN. I have sent information on downloading FF draft data that I have posted for the league to use. 600+ pages, about 4.5Mb .zip file.
@RS500Guy - Thanks for sending that info along! I'm sure several people will be grateful to have it on Sunday.

OK, the draft results have been entered on the ESPN site. I just checked the waiver rules and it looks like everyone will be on waivers through Tuesday morning at 9am Munich time. If you want to burn a waiver pickup for someone, you can do so and you'll know the results on Tuesday. All non-waiver free agent pickups can be made from Tuesday 9am on.
We have a 13 game regular season schedule. The site has automatically set the schedule for us with everyone team playing the others at least once, plus two rematches. (I didn't control the rematch logic).
