I really enjoyed it last week. Can I swim next to the boat if the wind is very light and it's moving too slowly?

Would an 18-month old be welcome on this trip?

If you are comfortable with the idea, this week it looks as though we have space enough. We can always stop if it gets too much.
We are four grownups and an 18year old and a six-year old. We don'T have anyone qualified as a skipper either. Are there paddleboats there as well?
yotti
Jul 6 2008, 9:30 am
Yes there are.
Thanks for the quick responses, yotti! Good information for the future, but I think we'll save this for sometime when the kiddies aren't along.

I'd like to sign up for the next one, whenever that may be.
I am new to Toytown and Munich, but I am from Florida and miss sailing.

Travel plans:
Train leaves
Hauptbahnhof 12:51, change at Geltendorf and get in to Utting (Ammersee) at 13:40.
(Trains can be late, missing connections ! Concensus of opinion is to take the S-Bahn)
Group ticket can be organised if enough people get together.
OR:
Travel by own transport. Meet up at the pier for Ernst segelschule at 13:45
Maybe we meet up before the time to sail for a picnic lunch and give you the chance to ask more questions.
No specialist equipment is needed. Suncream, soft soled trainers so you don't slip, a light waterproof jacket in case it rains and perhaps a jumper in case the weather looks changeable or cloudy. We can take bags onto the boat, so changing clothes or carrying drinks should not be a problem.
Costs are for just the boat hire @ € 15 per hour split between us. They can take up to 8 people, kids are welcome.
I have one boat now "permanently" reserved, but need a commitment by Thursday from skippers to book more.
Let me know if you want me to pm you my handy number in case of emergencies ! Works only from Friday evening.

Will we take the S-bahn or the train? I'd be up for meeting earlier for lunch as suggested above, if others would like to also. Let me know, I'm excited!!!

Considering the general weather reports for tomorrow - despite the new life jacket for MiniBug - I'm thinking we are going to pull out of this one. Unfortunately.
Next weekend though, especially if we can
start earlier, we'd like to be back with the new picknick bag.
Unfortunately we are also going to pull out due to the weather. Not a fair weather sailor, but had hoped at least for dry on my novice's first outing.

Lots of people have said "weather dependant". To book boats we need more than "whether dependant" !!
