Sendlinger Tor now the place for bums and junkies

After claims last week in the Bezirksausschuss 2 that clubs like Pimpernell and Erste Liga were casuing havoc, the council is having a think about compulsory doormen in fron of certain locations. And there's an element that wants to ban street drinking in BA2 anyway. Op top of that, the other side of Sendlinger Tor Platz is now facing an "Absturz" according to CSU Councillor Quaas.

Welcome to the new hood?

This is very probably also a side effect of ridding orleansplatz of all the junkies by installing 24h surveilance. They all just moved along to sendlinger tor as far as I can tell.

Indeed, when they got turfed out the Ostbahnhof area they all moved down to Sendlinger Tor.

Still see a few of them around Orleansplatz though.

ah cam on. Munich has the most harmless homeless in the world. They hang out, have a few beers, shoot up and chill out. Walked straight through them several times and the most you get is a cheeky hello.

Yeah, the ones at Orleansplatz don't bother me - they can be quite entertaining. And they make the "Toytown" of Munich seem a bit more like a real city.

Bums and junkies have to go somewhere.

If they are not in your back yard ,they're in some one elses.

They never bothered me, but screaming and shouting infront of your window in the middle of the night and early morning got a bit old.
But they were usually more entertaining than annoying, that is true

I'll put a virtual tenner down now that they'll get moved on until they are in Bunny Mountain and then no one from the retail business, the Rosa Liste or the CSU will give a fuck.
