Italy football supporters meet up in Stuttgart

If you want to cheer the Azzurri some of us will be at the Mezzo-Giorno (www.mezzo-giorno.de, Kriegsbergstrasse 55, near the Hauptbahnhof) from 8pm tonight. Look for the Italian flag (ok, there may be more than one of those).

I'd just like to say that I couldn't be happier with the result last night. After Italy cheating their way to the top in the last World Cup, I sincerly hope you get flogged again in your next match.

Probably an ozzie! Yep, a peek at the profile and we see yet another deluded rugby fan that thinks one half-penalty appeal would have stoppped ITaly winning despite their monstruous display against the Germans that was by far the match of the tournament!

Last night, well, if you field a old team when they are two years older and ignore all the superb young players waiting in the wings AND you are a decent player but a rubbish manager that buckles under any kind of pressure, that´s when these kind of things happen.

Schade Azzurri! ( I suppose there´s stilll a bit of hope seeing as the French performed just as badly against the weakest team.)

Yeah, I have to say there seemed to be a lot more energy on the Dutch side. Youth must be a factor.
But there was a rush of energy when Del Piero came on. Not enough to shake up the overall ennui though.
