Also I have heard that you can attach two antennae off the same dish. We get free view English TV but would like to get German telly as well. Any ideas of what gismo I need to ask my hubby to buy! laugh.gif

The easiest solution at the moment is a uk freesat hd box. You could also use one of the few fta hd receiver that can receive the channel. What do you use to watch uk tv at the moment? A sky box or a regular fta receiver?
As for german TV; it's not that simple if you don't know your way around satellite dishes. Your best option would be to have someone come in and install everything for you.

Isn't SpiderPig the man to ask? I believe he works in that field.

Spiderpig did this for me.He put in a metal strip and connected another LNB to it.I now have 2 LNB's on my satellite dish wich enables me to get German and English tele all on the one dish.Spiderpig is however the one to conatact as he rules in my eyes. Also to Spiderpig someone has asked me about Sky from the Amadeus so they should be getting in touch soon with you.

Spiderpig?? Will he travel to Baden-Wüttermberg?!! I would also like to get german and english TV from one dish. Could someone tel me what sat (angle, elev) is beaming the freesat signal? Thanx!!

The satellites are exactly the same as Sky, the only difference is the EPG on the boxes.

Its just a normal bog standard sat box from Saturn - Skymaster DS66. So we would need a better one? unsure.gif

That's exactly what I want! We already get BBC, ITV, Film 4 etc. Its just I need to practice my German and telly seemed like a good way of doing it! biggrin.gif

I'm in Bremen by the way so maybe a bit far for Spiderpig?

Cheers, Wys

First of all, if you want to watch hd channels, you need a hd receiver. That leaves you with 3 choices: freesat hd, sky hd, fta hd.
Sky HD does not offer itv hd at the moment, but will probably do so in the future. Fta hd receivers have problems with itv hd at the moment (see linked thread) but there are work arounds. A freesat HD is the easiest option at the moment and gives you an epg for the uk fta channels on top.
