Slightly off topic, but do you iPod users only have your Mp3 files on your iPod? Do you not keep the originals on your PC or Mac, or even on the original CDs? What happens if the iPod goes phut, don't you lose everything?

yes you do lose everything if you Ipod goes phut and no backup !

But when you put the Mp3s onto the iPod, surely the original mp3s are still in the computer, no?
You do have the files on you PC/Mac. So, if the iPod f*cks up they are still accessible.
These software are more for if you lose the file from you PC, you can add them to it again from the iPod.
You can use more than one iPod per computer, there are a couple of ways to do it. Create a new user account on the computer itself or create a playlists for each iPod and manage the sync process manually.
