Hi,
I am a South African. I am completing my state articles in law at present. I have applied for an internship with a law-firm in Munich for 6 months. I have spoken to the South African German Embassy regarding the requirements for a work visa.
They do not seem very sure of anything and I aim to start this internship in April 2007. This does not leave much time for obtaining the required visa.
I was informed that when I make application to the German Aliens Office in Germany I must include a letter of employment from the law firm in Germany.
Before I email the law firm please could you advise me of what the letter of employment should contain?
I was told that it needs to contain the following: -
1) Capacity in which I am employed in. (I will be employed as an intern in the commercial law department);
2) Remuneration received by the company. (We have not yet agreed, but it will be a nominal amount to cover living expenses over the 6 months);
3) Conditions of employment. (I am not sure what this refers to);
4) Period of employment. (In my case 6 months).
I would like to know if there is anything else that should be included in this letter of employment? I would like to send the law firm in Germany a comprehensive email and not a piecemeal one. Please help as the South African German Embassy don't seem to know what the requirements are.
Thank you. I have posted this in the visa section as well, but i just wanted to find out if any of u guys could assist me.
YOGI
