Well I am planing to rent a motorcycle, honda 600 cbr or a yamaha r6 and make a day trip towards the Alps. Tegernsee and such are in my mind.

The bike where I am looking costs 100 euros for a day. 300 km free. All the protective necessities would cost around 20 euros more. 2000 euro self-pay if the bike is stolen or damaged.

If there are three or more there is a 10% discount.

I am looking to do this on a weekday sometime in the next 2 weeks.

I'ld pay to see three or more on a R6.

What does it cost if you go over 300 km? Because that ain't much, but perhaps I have different ideas of a day trip cool.gif for Tegernsee it'll be enough

I'd be up for that...must be a bit yuk wearing someone else's sweaty gloves and helmet in the summer though.
Are they new bikes? do they have other models...I'd really like an extended ride on an adventrue tourer (not KTM 990) see if I want to buy one.

Do you have GPS/routes in mind...hmm 300km - hmm 186 miles... wouldn't we be clocking up more like 4 or even 500km on a decent trip?

There is a few other models you could rent.

Here is the link. http://www.motowelt.de/motorent.htm

I spoke to the guy and he is expecting my call again to schedule. I will be doing this for sure in the next two weeks but it would be great to have some company.

Yes, I realize 300km isn't much but the other places offer 250. And besides 300 is what we have to work with so no use in complaining. 300 km on a supersport is rough enough. I was thinking of making it an enjoyable, relaxed day. I don't feel like returning to the States and saying how much I wish I could have ridden in the Alps and the Autobahn.

it cost something like 40 cents per extra km. So not cheap.

Also if anyone would move this topic to "meet-ups" or "sports".

I do not check this often and it is anywyas in the wrong place so pleas PM me because I will be scheduling soon.

All the best.

I can join this trip if it on a weekend, and not on the weekend of 21/21 June.

I am a lazy biking slag. Anytime in the week or weekend is cool with me, although if it's pissing with rain I might not be quite so keen. Any excuse to skive off on a bike is a bit of me basically.

I plan to rent the bike on a weekday, probbaly late next week or early the week after the next.

One fellow is already interested. So there is now two of us.

Do we have number three?

PM me.

Hello,

Im not new to Germany since I have been here off and on since March of 07. I will be here atleast until the end of the year if not until the middle of 2009. Since I will be here for this length of time I decided to ship my 06 Gixxer out so I could have some sanity in my life and not just work all the time. If anyone wants to meet up on Saturdays or Sundays just post and we can meet up.

Im also looking for a good place to go for some tires. I usually run Michilen Pilot Powers both front and rear.

Thanks and Let me know.
