Euro 2008 football championship predictions

I'm going to place a bet or two on which team will succeed to win the Euro 2008 so if anyone can advise me on a good betting site then feel free.

Just out of interest, what team do you think will win? I'm edging towards a dark horse team, like the Czech Republic or to a lesser extent Russia. I mean, if a team as shit as Greece can win it...

Not sure who will win but I think the UK teams should be applauded for not taking part due to environmental concerns.

After sending two teams and a lot of fans to russia, sending even more to austria would have raised the carbon foot print of the whole UK to a huge level.

As such, I think europe should acknowledge our contribution to cut global warming and also give them a chance to win something

Really now i cant say who s gonna win this one, but we will be punished for our "success" last time... So i think we wont even win a game. But theres always hope...

I really would like to see Portugal win it; don't know why but I just have this gut feeling. Spain are a dark horse but I will be supporting the fatherland.

I am thinking Portugal, but it could be Spain. Casillas is the best young goalkeeper on the planet...

Ahem, Joe Hart may dispute that ...

Joe Hart is good, and he's definitely got his height working for him... but Casillas is just magic. Since I am a lifelong goalie (14 years, up to top collegiate level, if I do say so myself ) I appreciate nothing more than a good goalkeeper. And Casillas has the spark and the reflexes that are nearly mystic. He is truly awe-some.

Oh, and where's the option for England?

Are there any other Brits living in Deutschland (as in English) who will be supporting the Gerrys?

The Euro cup starts this weekend and I will be watching as many matches as I can. I've also decided to participate in a tip pool with my colleagues, but I have no clue how this works. Is there more to it than just guessing how many goals which team will score or is there a bit of strategy I can use to plan my tips? I'd like to pretend to be as soccer savvy as possible
