Hello,
today I received this per e-mail from a friend:
PLEASE READ. VERY SCARY ... WE ALL DO THIS!!!
> >A woman went boating one Sunday taking with her some cans of
> >coke which she put into the refrigerator of the boat.
> >On Monday she was taken to the hospital and placed in the
> >Intensive Care Unit..
> >She died on Wednesday. The autopsy concluded she died of
> >Leptospirosis.
> >This was traced to the can of coke she drank from, not using a glass.
> >Tests showed that the can was infected by dried rat urine and
> >hence the disease Leptospirosis.
> >Rat urine contains toxic and deadly substances.
> >It is highly recommended to thoroughly wash the upper part of
> >soda cans before drinking out of them.
> >The cans are typically stocked in warehouses and transported
> >straight to the shops without being cleaned.
> >A study at NYCU showed that the tops of soda cans are more
> >contaminated than public toilets (i .e.) full of germs and bacteria.
> >So wash them with water before putting them to the mouth to
> >avoid any kind of fatal accident.
> >Please forward this message to all the people you care about.
> >(I JUST DID!)
- A shocking story, and who knows if it´s 100% true, but certainly makes you think twice before drinking from a can!!

if someone throws the can at you hard enough, then it might kill you, regardless of it's state of cleaniness

Anyone know of any places that one can buy disease infected rats' piss? Even miss Marple wouldn't be able to solve that one.

But what could be more fun than actually getting rid of someone you don't like with some rats' piss, claiming the insurance and then sueing the canned drink outlet and the soft drink company? Ca Ching! I wonder if it tastes salty like human piss. Maybe the drinker would detect it.

I really hate this sort of scare e-mail, even when intentions are good. Before you send around this sort of thing, always check with snopes first. It also makes fun reading, too. Thanks !http://www.snopes.com/medical/toxins/raturine.asp

I am a legal representative of Carling Beer and I am demanding that you remove that defamatory statement from your internets, otherwise I will send the Höfmeister Bear to your house to shit through your letter box. You have been warned.
