Sad news: Scogs died at 2am this morning (May 30)

Very sorry to hear about the news.

very very sorry to hear this and hope you are bearing up sara. I expect it will take a long while to get over this but take one day at a time and DO rely on your friends who I hope will be there for you at this time.

I have a job on all Saturday night till bum o'clock (quite possibly 10am Sunday morning) but I'll be there. Hell or high water!
This sums all the things up that have been hurting for a long time, not just today!

OMG... I don't really know what to say! My deepest condolences go to you and your family Sara!

I haven't meet yous two for quite a while now, but I still love to remember the first time we meet at this football thingie at the Chinese Tower, when they were interviewing the supporters of all the teams taking part in the WC. Everyone had to introduce himself and which team he'll be supporting and when Andrew told em he's supporting Scotland they were so puzzled "But they are not in there...?!?" "And so?!?"...

A good bloke he was! Will miss him and will raise a pint towards him tonight with alot of pride to have known him and loads respect for the man he was!

Just turned on for a late night check-in. What very sad news. Like many here, I never met him but the eloquence and humour of his posts were such that he was one of the few posters whose whole personality we felt we knew without face to face contact. My condolences. RIP.

As many out there, we didn't know Scogs personally but are saddened by your loss Sara...May God give strength at the time of grief. Our deepest condolences to friends and family.

I've only met you once, at the Genießen im Dunkeln meal, where you were very helpful and friendly to me as a TT newbie. I just wanted to say that I'm shocked and very sorry to hear your news.

Only met Scogs a few times and we were discussing about some paperwork problems that he was having with UK lawyers but lots of plans for the future (w/Sara). I remember Sara mentioning that things were not looking good last week at the Curry/Cocktail night, but I really didn't understand how bad at the time.

It is a great shame for everyone and especially Sara. Scogs was remembered in the biergarten last night (he would have like that, I'm sure) and our hopes are with Sara through these difficult times.

Very sad news. I don't know what to say, my condolences.

I never met Scogs and I have only met Sarabyrd once but I found her to be a lady of strength and dignity so Andrew was indeed fortunate to have lived his life with someone who cared so deeply for him. I hope his spirit and memory will carry you through the days ahead. My sincere condolences.

I only found out last night - what a shock - I am so sorry for you loss and was just glad that I had the opportunity to enjoy some lovely meals and laughs with Andrew - he will be fondly remembered.

Sara, I am so sorry to hear about Andrew. I was away for the weekend and just read the news. My heart goes out to you and H.Jr. Although I have never met either of you, I will always be forever grateful to you both for reaching out to me when I needed someone to get me through some difficult times. You know that I am just around the corner if you need me (you have my telephone number) - I will be there for you anytime. You have many many friends and I have no doubt they will be there for you too. Take comfort in the fact that probably a day didn't go by that you didn't express your love for one another - maybe people regret this, but I think you will find comfort in knowing that he was well loved and he loved you (even I could see this from his posts!).

It's hard to imagine reading TT without an occasional witty and amusing post from Scogs.

Sara, I am so sorry to hear this. I only had the pleasure of meeting you and Scogs once at the TT North South Oktoberfest meetup last year, my deepest condolences.

And he's wandered off to find something more entertaining in the meantime.
