I wonder if anyone can help me. I recently had an operation, and afterwards found out that there were alternatives that I was not informed about by the surgeon during the consultation. To say that I would have not had this operation had I known about the alternatives beforehand is an understatement in the least. As far as I'm concerned my consent for the operation was not informed because of this, and I almost feel like I've been assaulted.

Is this the sort of thing that you can sue for over here? Will it be expensive? Am I likely to get anywhere? Can anybody recommend any medical malpractice lawyers in the Herford / Bielefeld area? Although I am a civilian, I operate in the British Military machine, so to speak, but the operation was performed by a German Surgeon in a German hospital, and so I need to seek advice from the military system first. I just wondered if anyone has any experiences in this area.
