I have Aussie Rules Training tomorrow night, it's certainly not a case of being lazy.

Just signed up as seventh on the list, which means that I'm probably a reserve. Let me know if anyone has to drop out.

funny thing is, we are 4 in the first hour and 6 (plus one reserve) in the second hour...

Are there no more Sunday sessions? The events list Sundays, but it links to the Thursday page. Also, next Thursday, May 22, is a public holiday.

I would be up for a game on Sunday if anyone fancies it?

Public Holiday shouldn't be a problem. As far as I know, badminton will take place as long as enough players sign on.

Well, good to know. Too bad so many other events are happening on Thursdays for me, it is my busiest TT day. I will hope for a Sunday or a Thursday when i am actually free and then sign up. Thanks!

The twenty-odd weeks that some of us block-booked a court over winter ran out last week and I am taking a few weeks off.

So courts have to be booked week-by-week, starting tomorrow (someone has done this, right?)

The lady at the front desk said that it should now be quiet enough to just book a day or so before playing but last Thursday evening all the courts were occupied.

Thanks for that Nomis - just called up and they have confirmed that the permanent booking
is still there as a service until 25.9.2008. No pay-up front necessary - but obviously if you don't
cancel up to 24hrs before - you have to pay for the court.

We need to decide if we want to keep the permanent reservation there over summer or not -
but as far as I can see - as long as someone cancels 24hrs before - no problem.

So - after all that - badminton is on tomorrow - booked in the name of Toytown. Everyone who has
signed up is now committed to paying their bit...

Good, everything seems to be under control.

I have made the regular booking, for 19:15 to 21:15 every Thursday until further notice, as PP said, and I will check on the TT web page for sign-ups, and cancel the court on Wed evening if not enough have signed up by the daedline of Wed 12:00.

Texins, Since i am currently in a different timezone could you please book for the court. I am okay with an hour or two (if arch is coming).

If there is no consensus on the time, then maybe 3pm or 4pm ?

I bought a racquet and all, but got lost on ye olde pushy on the way. it would seem that the directions i wrote for myself weren't exactly sufficient, as i wound up in BFE.
for next week, when i do actually get there, how do i recognise you kids ?

i am not aware that there is a kids playground around the sports center.
if you are looking for us, then go into court area, we are usually on court 8 or 9 (i think) and speak English. or ask at the reception which court Toytown has booked.

Court is booked 19:15-21:15 as usual!

Hi, can't make it this evening (and haven't booked), but just a couple of comments:

It looks like a couple of people who have booked are now not intending to go:

This could cause a lot of problems for the rest of us.

The courts cost €48 for the evening, and have to be cancelled 24 hrs in advance, hence the booking deadline on the web site really is the deadline!

We now have only 2 left for tonight of the original 4.

Maybe those pulling out better think of how they want to make it up to the rest!

As I mentioned in my previous post I will only play if there are 4 people as I am still injury prone...therefore with the current numbers I can commit
