OK, Chewy, thanks for clearing that up

I'm not supposed you're knees are raw, the way you were throwing yourself around the court, you athletic young thing, you

I'm not achey today, either. Maybe it's because we only played for an hour this week

See you all next week, hopefully

Hi All,
I could play for 2 hours starting at 7pm if thats possible for next Thursday.
I want my aching factor to increase.

Oct 22 2004, 10:11 am
Hey peeps, I really enjoyed badminton lastnight. My body really needed that.
Aching factors:
Body -- 3
Right shoulder -- 5
Left hip -- 8 (I fell on my hip remember? but I made contact with the cork and thats important

)
But hey this pain is sweet and I was asking for it.
More pain please.

Who else would be interested in a 7pm start next week?
I thought maybe we could get 1 or 2 courts from 7-9, and an additional from 8-9, so that everybody finishes at 9pm and can go for a drink and a bit of socialising afterwards, but whoever wants to can get a 2 hour ache-generating session in beforehand...
Who's keen? Give me an idea of the level of interest, and I can maybe get a couple of courts booked.

In general I'd like to play on Sundays as well (2 times a week would be fine by me). This Sunday I'll probably still be a bit sick
Sounds like it was fun... one hour isn't enough IMHO... 2 weeks ago we managed to sneak about another hour since they didn't turn the lights off.
Okay... I need to drink massive amounts of OJ to get to 100% by next Thursday.
Like I said, if no one took my place, I'll still pay for the slot I had to skip out on.
Topsy
Oct 22 2004, 12:15 pm
@ anabi - you don't have to pay for this week, we just split the cost between 11 instead of 12. the court wasn't wasted, so it's no bother.
can you start at 7pm next Thursday already? that wouldn't be too early for you?
ume
Oct 22 2004, 12:37 pm
looks like you guys had good fun...
I will be up for next week 7-9pm.
anabi
Oct 22 2004, 1:13 pm
7-9 would be perfect for myself.
Topsy
Oct 22 2004, 1:54 pm
well, we can only get one court for next week from 7-8pm
I got three courts from 8-9pm, but one 1 for the extra hour.
so I guess we can say we are full already for the extra hour.
Let me know here if you want to play next week from 8-9pm

cheers

not sure if i will be here next thursday for badders :-( if here, though, 7 to 9 good for me. let u know by tuesday.

ps thursday was great but my back hurts!! guess all the diving for topsy's tricky drops and ravskis mean slams

Oct 23 2004, 12:29 pm
hmm as it's a bit of a scorcher today and forecast for 2morrow also very good, would prefer to do sg outdoors than in a hall. hopefully it'll be raining next sunday and i'll be able to play badders :-)
a good weekend to you all!

who is for badminton this week?
So far I have a definite "yes" from the following Toytowners:
Chewy (7-9pm)
Ravski (7-9pm)
Ume (7-9pm)
Anabi (7-9pm)
Topsy (7-9pm)
Ellewood, I have you as a maybe. RootsH and Trouble - I'm not sure whether you are joining us?
Who else is coming along?
I could only get one court from 7-9pm, so that is full now.
But we've plenty of room from 8-9pm, still.
'til thursday

Oct 25 2004, 3:11 pm
Hi Ellewood,
you'd said 7pm, right?
which is fine.
So we have 6 people for a 2 hour session, which means we get a few more breaks per person
Topsy
Ravski
Oct 25 2004, 3:23 pm
@Topsy,
Do we still have only have one court between 7-8 and are we still accepting more people for the 7-8 session.
Topsy
Oct 25 2004, 3:38 pm
Hi, we only have one court, and we can't get any more.
So I think we should draw a line at 6 people from 7-8pm, and just take new people between 8-9pm.
Is that OK for everyone?
Topsy
We are always short of courts.
Should we consider changing the location from NEXT thursday?
@Ravski
you were telling about some courts in schloss Nymphenburg. How is the quality and quantity there?
Topsy
Oct 25 2004, 4:02 pm
the courts at nyphemburg are not easy to get to, though, are they?
isn't this week the first week that we are short of courts? sometimes it is a struggle, but we always had enough courts so far.

Oct 25 2004, 5:15 pm
@ume: I dont think the REGULARS would change anyway considering some have played there for several years already.
I just want to play more games, otherwise I will also join another club on another day and not upset the system already introduced by TTers.
okay. point taken back.
Topsy
Oct 25 2004, 5:42 pm
well, if the place in nymphenburg is cheaper and easier for everybody to get to, then maybe they would think about changing.
is it easier to get to?
and how much does a court cost?
Topsy
Ravski
Oct 25 2004, 7:06 pm
Topsy
1. Its two stops on a tram from Romanplatz. 1 minute from Tram.
2. Roof is HIGHER, lighting could be better but not bad.
3. Had a bar area, never had food there
4. Cost about 26 euros per court per hour.
ellewood
Oct 26 2004, 8:56 am
so would we have to change trams?
hmmm maybe i'm a very traditional gal but i really like it where we are
Topsy
Oct 26 2004, 10:57 am

2. Ravski (7-9pm)
3. Ume (7-9pm)
4. Anabi (7-9pm)
5. Topsy (7-9pm)

Topsy - l wouldn't mind playing - is 7-9PM ok?
l'm kind of average at badders - ellewood beat me lots last year
Topsy
Oct 26 2004, 11:48 am
Hiya Billybob

yes, you can play, that would be great
Ellewood always beats me as well, so join the club.
I guess if you want to play 7-9pm that's fine. There will be 7 of us from 7-9 then, so people will have to sit out quite a lot, but that should be OK, right? We will be playing for 2 hours in total, after all.
I'll try to get 2 courts from 7-9pm from next week.

Oct 26 2004, 12:01 pm
@Topsy
ooh, just read top bit of the thread and see you've only 1 court for the first hour - it's probably best if l just come for the last hour or everyone will be waiting around a bit too much. l'll jog round the park near the hirschgarden and then pop along at 8
see you wednesday

I heard that rumour about Billybob as well... we'll know the answer come Thursday

We can meet at the tramstop again for those who are not sure how to get there. 6.30pm is hopefully ok for everyone?
Cheers
