Badminton @ RSC Nymphenburg

The TT Dauerauftrag is for two courts from 7-8pm and one court from 8-9pm. If you want more courts, can one of you please telephone RSC (089/13 99 13 -0) and tell them what you want.

I've just rung RSC, and they say we have:
19h-20h: Courts 39, 41
20h-21h: Courts 38, 39, 41.
Who has booked these? Is that what we want?
I would have expected 2 courts for each of the 2 hours.

i did not book as i don´t know how that works but i see we have only 8 players so my guess is that 2 courts from 7-9pm should be plenty?

Hi, sorry to screw up the numbers for tonight, but I cannot make it- there's no way I can get there in time to make a full hour

I should see everyone next week though, as I enjoyed playing last week!

Its two courts from 7-9pm (39, 41) and one additional court from 8-9pm (38).
Ideally, we need to cancel the courts 1 day in advance, if we need less.

I called them now and they said that you called them to book 3 courts for 2 hours?
I think they misunderstood you. So, now its back to 2 courts for 2 hours (39, 41).

Moni is right, there would now be max. 5 people left 8-9 so one court would suffice?

Looking at the numbers you should have enough players for concurrent singles and doubles matches in the first hour, so it's not so bad.

8-9: 4.
Shall I see if I can cancel 1 of the 2 for the second hour?
I assume that the late cancellers will have to cover the costs of any wasted courts as per normal practice!

well, it was good but we only played for an hour as there weren't enough people for the 2nd hour.

Looks like 1 court for 2 hours then, but maybe we should wait 'til the morning in case of drop-outs / extras.

i think the reason why we have sign up till wednesday is that you would have to cancel the courts by today. they have been "nice" in letting us cancel last minute. i am pretty sure in winter when all the courts are fully booked, we are expected pay whatever we booked.

OK, shall I call and cancel the other courts, keeping the 1 for the 2 hours?

With you (1) we would be 6, with 1 court at present. Why don't you phone them up and try to book another 1 court for 7-8?

I have a slight cold, but I was OK hill-walking on Sunday so should be OK tomorrow.
One court for the 2 hours would seem right, even if we get 1 or 2 late-comers.

So, I've been meaning to come back for ages after being otherwise disposed (in the beergarden) for the summer...when does sign up close again? The list is looking a bit sparse today!

I don't think I'll be able to come this week. I'm away for a month starting next week & I have a ton of jobs to do beforehand. I may show up if I get enough done tomorrow but don't count me in, it's unlikely.

I cancelled all the courts for this Thursday. Only three people signed up which is not even enough for one game of doubles.

Off on holiday, will be back for next week.
