I think we are going to have to invent... EXTREME BADMINTON where you get 3 players on each team.

Honestly, nope, I dont think it would. We could maybe extend the hours we play from 7-10pm. I would not be opposed to that.

Is there anyone out there that would be willing to play on a court from 9 till 10?

we might have to start thinking about playing later on, actually...
either that, or moving to a new venue

because 13 people on 2 courts is just too many, I reckon, and it seems to have been that way for the last 6 weeks

bugger, was finally gonna dig out my racquet and turn up, ah well, will try and get in early next week...

A question out of topic if you guys dont mind. Are the squash courts in that place easily available or do we need to book them in advance?

Actually, if sunny_me brings a +1 and walshies are in fact two people (I assume that's what the "x2" in the comment means), that makes a grand total of 24 people on three courts.

So that means doubles on one court and five-a-side on the other two.

seriously, maybe we should look for somewhere else to play if we are gonna get such huge turnouts?

Can't imagine you'd have a problem with squash courts - there area always loads empty on Thurs. evenings. Don't know about weekends though!

Am gonna ring RSC again now and see if there are any courts available from 9-10p.m. - maybe some people could move slots. Will keep you posted.

Well, bad news I'm afraid. There are no more free badminton courts at all - even from 9-10p.m.!! (2 are apparently out of action because of leaky roofs - AGAIN!!) Will try again tomorrow just incase there are cancellations or the ones with leaky roofs become available.

@Asq, I won't bring my +1 but still, this is crazy...there might be more people sitting out than playing on the courts!

We could all wear waterproof clothes and hats and take the two courts with the leaky roofs only kidding of course

Well, let's hope the roof doesn't collapse - like an awful lot of roofs lately in Bayern!!

Can anybody recommend a place with 5+ badminton courts (preferably together)? Or does anyone even know of such a place besides RSC?

I would definately be up for playing squash instead of badminton tonight in order to cut the numbers down (+I actually prefer squash + haven't played for ages!)

From what I understand, there isn't much in the neighborhood, so we'll have to come back into town. I imagine GM or The Arc would be on the list of possibilities.

Seems that at least 7 people have dropped out so far so at this rate the people/court ratio might not be too bad - have fun!

Last night was fun. We have 3 and 3 courts booked for next thursday.
