Can't make this week - busy dancing and speaking German!! At least I'll still get some exercise and a week off from being hit by shuttles won't hurt

sorry about the no show yesterday guys, I was ill on wednesday and could move much, but i'l be back for next week.

So I am in the States, and my very competitive Uncle has taken up Badminton. Of course I have been mispronouncing this sport for 37 years, but that is besides the point. Anyway, he is a fanatic, actually hired the Chinese olympic champ to help train him. And though I will need several more years of fami;ly therapy after spending an hour being coached by him, I must say it rekindled my enjoyment of the sport. Though I can keep a decent volley going, I had never learned the proper rules or really how to play. So my question is this...are you all SUPER-DOOPER UBER-competitive players like said uncle, or can us average folks, though willing to learn folks, join in?

Am unfortunately not able to play tonight after all - I know I'm always preaching to others about dropping out last minute but have an inflamed hip joint and doc advised not to play Might pop in anyway and spectate/have a drink!

Hi, I've been wanting to start badminton for ages but Thursdays never seem to work out for me. I thought I'd seen posts in the past for Badminton on a Sunday. Am I imagining this? Was there a Sunday game running at one point and it's been stopped?

We used to have games on Sunday, yeah. They shall be re-instated I guess in the winter. Or if there is interest now, we can sort it out.
