Does anyone have any suggestions on where to buy blinds for Velux windows, that are perhaps not as expensive as the Velux brand. Most of my apartment (roof top flat) has these windows that you pull down to open and the sun comes in and cooks my apartment. We are suppose to have a very warm summer, so I want to get ready.
Thanks

We recently bought a roller blind for a velux window from Hoeffner (just off the motorway near Barsbuettel) which cost 65 euros - don't know how that compares with velux. They also do a variety of other blinds for roof windows. If you don't want to go that far then I would suggest you try somewhere like Karstadt who also do made to measure blinds or maybe even Ikea?

Try ebay. There are lot of ebay-stores selling blinds/rollos for Velux windows. Original Velux blinds/rollos are very expensive. If you can mention the type of window you have (VL, GGL, GGU etc), I can provide more information. Online shops like Neckermann/Otto also sell blinds for Velux windows.
I found that the unbranded ones weren't soo much cheaper than Velux' own, actually. In the end I bought a 'duo system' which was a sight-screen and blackout combined in one blind, and substantially cheaper than eg. an outside rollerblind.
