Where to buy flour for pizza and pasta

...sorry about the typo in the title but it seems that I can't edit that to fix it...hopefully you get the idea...
Anyone know where to buy good flour for making pizza and pasta?
I have come across an Italian supermarket which is in Charlottenburg but that is a little far for me, someplace around Friedrichshain or P'berg would be better or else maybe some one has a mail order option?

hey, have you actually tried the usual supermarkets like Real or Edeka? it depends on where exactly in F'hain and P'berg, but if you live for example around Frankfurter Allee then it shouldn't be too difficult.

can you tell me where this italian supermarket is? what is it called? i'd like to go there.

Yes Cathi I've tried the usual supermarkets and there one can buy a selection of good ole German flours, fine for most things and of course you can make passable pizza with them but none of them (as far as I can tell) the same as a hard white italian flour like Tipo 00 and that is what I'm after.

Actually the italian supermarket I mention is the same one mrjohnsoda mentioned above, centro italia.

well, i thought about the flour again and a friend of mine finally came up with the great idea of all the Karstadt and Galeria Kaufhof - Stores. those are stores which have fine food areas. Maybe that's an option for you? i know at least the big Galeria Kaufhof at Alexanderplatz..

I've tried Kaufhof on Alex and no luck. I regularly visit Karstadt and I'm pretty sure they also don't stock Italian Flour. Good suggestions though, I've managed to always get goodies from Karstadt and Galeria Kaufhof.

man, this starts to suck, i'm really sorry. :/ another idea would be the KaDeWe at Wittenberg Platz in Charlottenburg. Have you tried that one too?
