Street music... Street party...

Hi, I'm asian, and a street musician in Munich.

2 parts to this thread:
Pt. 1 = shit happened to me 2 days ago.
Pt. 2 = an invitation to street party (-:

Pt. 1:
Evening 21st May, I was out with my guitar and busking the street in Munich, below the toy museum near Marien Platz...
as usual the session went well...
near 1 past midnight, the crowd thin out...
2 guys were left, I guess they were germans but not from Munich (hopefully)...
1 of them ask if he could play my guitar for a bit...
I let him have it, while I took a smoke break...
the guy with my guitar wasn't doing much at all...
only strumming lightly, slowly and rather quietly to himself while his friend sits near...
abt 15 mins went, I finish my smokes...
kindly I asked for my guitar back...
he ignored...
I asked a 2nd time, rather slowly...
he ignored again...
3rd time I asked, but adding that if he'd not give it to me, I'll take it from him...
he again ignored, and so I took my guitar away from him...
at this instance his friend came over, push me to the wall and gave me a punch in my right eye and another on my left cheek...
luckily there were some passers by to stop him or he'd probably kill me !
I'll stop here to keep this true story short.
No, I'm not seeking revenge, but just a need to shout it out.

and I hope this would be shared among street musicians...
as a hint, to study the person you're letting your instrument to on the streets...
especially if you're a foreigner.

Part 1 is horrible, how awful! Hope you at least got your guitar back intact.

Just a thought - do you have the required permit (I thhink you get it from the Rathaus) to perform as a street musician? Could be the guys who attacked you thought you were performing "illegally" and therefore wouldn't report the incident to the police?

Part 2: Sounds good - I don't mind a bit of rock n roll (only listening to, not playing unfortunately). If I happen to be around Marienplatz late on a Fri/Sat night, I'll look out for you. Hope you don't get any more aggro. Party on!
