Hi,

I would like to get advices on places to visit. I am reaching franfurt early morning on 10 june, going to berlin directly on 10 june for 3days 2 nights, however, due to airline company cancelling the flight i need to bring forward one day, hence i will reach frankfurt on 9 june instead. Shall i
1. spend one more day in berlin, or
2. stay a day to explore franfurt,or
3.spend a night in dresden before going to berlin, or
4. spend a night in marburg before going to berlin? Or do you have any recommendation ? Thank you

Get out of Frankfurt as soon as possible.

Spend the extra night in Dresden. See the restored Frauenkirche (Church of our Lady) and the Zwinger. You won't regret it.

yes, evacuate Fankfurt immediately. I second the stop in Dresden.

well, i've never been to dresden, but i've heard it's very beautiful there. however, I was in Frankfurt for a night, and I actually thought it was nice. If you've never been to Frankfurt, then a night there wouldn't be bad. Frankfurt is different from most other german cities... it's more similar to an American city (with skyscrapers) but still very nice. The Main River is nice as well.

IMO I really wouldn't just skip over Frankfurt so quickly. You're already there... why waste several hours traveling by train to Dresden for just one day... when you could just look in Frankfurt for one night? For one day, there is more than enough stuff to see in Frankfurt. Again, I know Dresden is very nice, but Frankfurt is not at all bad.

In fact, some of us like it so much that we've stayed here for a few years. I know, hard to believe.

Don't go to hamburg though, full of miserable canadians who don't like frankfurt - always a clear stay away signal for me

Since you'll be in Frankfurt, I suggest visiting Kassel Wilhelmshöhe and, if you get an early start, perhaps Hannover along the way to Berlin.

Or you could take a quick train down to the Pfalz. There's bound to be a wine fest on. And you too could feel as bad as I do today. cool.gif

so what have you got to hang on the other poster who basically said the same thing I did?
