Voltage converters for a Vsmile Pocket

Where to buy, with a suitable plug for Canada

Hello,

as my departure is getting closer and closer (a one-month trip through Canada, from east to far West, in a motorhome with my not very easy mum and my two young boys...a bit scary), i need to find something : a voltage converter for a Vsmile Pocket that will let the battery in the recharger unit get actually "refilled". It works with 230 v and i need it to work with 110 V.
Can i find this at Saturn, for example ? Or does soemeone has one to sell ?

Thanks a lot !

Hi, you can get a v smile auto adapter which plugs into the vsmile and the cigerette plug in on the car, and also the plug in adapter...both available on amazon.de which is where I got mine.

We also bought the console, and use that for one of my boys pockets when we need to...hope this helps.

sounds like a great holiday...have a great time...Debbie.

I just put vsmile into amazon search and scroll to see what is available till you come to the adapters...

Thanks Deb, but actually i do have also a car adaptater to plug directly on the car, and a "power pack". It's just that i won't be able to use them in the motorhome, as my mum told me the input needs to be 110 V and not 230 v. In Germany it's like in France, so no problem here. But in Canada it's 110 V. And i will only be able to use the batterry because the "car-plug" is at the very front next to all buttons and stuff, and the length of the cable cord is just too small to reach the seated children. Besides i will have two children playing at the same time, and there's just one "car plug". So i need to "refill" both batteries at night for example when we're on a campground.
I am not sure i explained it all very well, basically what i need is a voltage converter which will convert 110v into 230 V, and which can work with a canadian plug.

Anyone knows ?

Although I'm a bit confused. Inside a motorhome you'll have 12V, just like in most cars.
Hence you'll need most likely a car charger, converting 12V to 220V.
You'll find the most universal power adapters at Conrad. Two stores in Munich. Im Tal and across the Olympia Einkaufszentrum. www.conrad.de
Check the output capacity in Watt and compare with the power packs, go rather high and pay a bit more.

If you pull into a campground and hook up the external power to the motorhome, the plugs inside the motorhome will give you straight 110V.

You may also check if the original AC power adapter from your kids toys really work only at 220V. Many power supplies are universal, e.g. laptops accept anything between 110-230V.

Last but not least, there is nothing that prevents you from running the generator while you are driving. Also giving you 110V at all the plus inside the motorhome.

Enjoy the trip.
