In this role, based in INGOLSTADT, you design and calculate parts for different machinery components like shafts, bearings and structures following common engineering rules, using state of the art tools.
Responsibilities:
· Concept work on alternators and component solutions in standard and special product range.
· Standardization of existing alternator types, families and their components.
· Technical clarification of customer requirements and order specification.
· Creation and maintenance of Valid Drawing list and catalogues in general or for specific customers.
· Creation of manufacturing documentation (drawings, instructions, Bill of Material) for AvK alternators in different applications for different customers.
· Generating and maintaining Pro/E models.
· Release and approval of manufacturing documentation.
· Work closely with manufacturing and purchasing departments to achieve good quality designs that meet or exceed cost targets.
· Form relations with current and potential suppliers and customers to support design activities.
· Assessment, release and approval of manufacturing- or supplier claims, deviations or errors.
· Working with the documentation department – creation of customer documentation
· Working with the service department – assessment and support of service issues
· Working with sales department - technical support of sales to achieve and maintain a high quality customer relationship (CSE)
Required qualifications, skills and experience required
· Engineering studies mechanical design or comparable branch (Degree FH/ TH)
· Knowledge in design of mechanical components and general drive units
· Basic knowledge in rotor dynamics and modal analysis techniques is an advantage
· Drafting, use of CAD software, Pro E is an advantage, 3D modelling
· Ability to use a range of IT related software
· Use of FE – tools, Ansys Workbench is an advantage
· Fluent English language (written and spoken), ideally good German language skills
· Team working, self initiative, analytical and problem solving skills, flexibility
